What makes Alabaster Candles unique?

Do you use natural ingredients?

Yes! We primarily use naturally sourced beeswax and sometimes a blend of beeswax and coconut wax. Our candles are made with pure essential oils—no synthetic fragrances—ensuring a safe and luxurious experience. We also carefully select our wicks, using either wooden wicks for a gentle crackling ambiance or beeswax-coated cotton wicks for a clean, even burn.

Do you use dyes or colorants in your candles?

We do not use any dyes or colorants in our candles. The color of our candles comes from the natural color of the wax we use. Beeswax may vary in color from batch to batch, depending on where it is sourced and the weather conditions during collection. This natural variation is a characteristic of pure beeswax.

Why don’t you use edible, food-based natural colors in your candles?

We do not use any color, including edible food-based natural colors because they often don't withstand the high temperatures candles reach when burning, leading to instability in color and potential degradation. These colors can fade, change hues, or release impurities when exposed to heat, which could result in smoke or soot. Such impurities can compromise indoor air quality and affect healthy breathing. While food-based colors are perfect for consumables, they are less reliable for candles, where natural wax colors like beeswax or soy are more stable, sustainable, and safe for creating a high-quality, consistent product.

Are your candles non-toxic?

Absolutely. Our candles are free from parabens, phthalates, and harmful additives. We prioritize clean-burning, eco-friendly ingredients for a healthier home.

What type of wax do you use?

How strong are the scents?

Our candles offer a balanced aroma—never overpowering, but distinct and lingering. We use only pure essential oils for fragrance, which are naturally derived from plants, offering a more subtle and complex scent profile that evolves over time. Unlike synthetic fragrances, which can be more intense and consistent, essential oils provide a soothing, therapeutic aroma that complements your space without being overwhelming. How should I care for my candle?

• Trim the wick to ¼ inch before each use to prevent excessive flickering and ensure a clean, even burn.

• Allow the candle to burn all the way to the edges on the first burn to prevent tunneling and maximize the burn time.

• Keep the candle away from drafts, flammable objects, and never leave it unattended.

• Always place your candle on a heat-resistant surface to avoid damage to furniture.

• If the candle is not in use for an extended period, store it in a cool, dry place to preserve its scent and wax.

• For a cleaner burn, extinguish the candle by gently blowing out the flame or using a candle snuffer to avoid excess smoke.

What is the burn time of your candles?

Burn times vary by size, and the wax. Burn times vary by size and wax composition. The following estimates apply to candles made with a blend of 75% beeswax and 25% coconut wax.:

• 6 oz candles: Approximately 30-40 hours​

• 8 oz candles: Approximately 40-50 hours​

• 14 oz candles: Approximately 70-80+ hours

Each candle is thoughtfully crafted with fragrances mentioned in the Bible, such as myrrh, frankincense, cassia, hyssop and spikenard. Our collections are inspired by passages that highlight themes of worship, anointing, and spiritual renewal.

Yes! Each batch of our candles is made with a prayer to Jesus Christ, inviting His presence, peace, and blessings into the process. We believe that this spiritual intention adds deeper meaning to every candle we create.
